About Dave Monahan
Letter From Dave
Dear Homeowner,
I had this website built with one purpose in mind, to help educate you as a consumer and let you visit my suppliers (see Industry Links) so you will know the many choices of products available to you. As a homeowner, you will have the final choice of any product I install and I will use my thirty-two years of experience to help you to make the right choices.
I have selected a handful of homes out of the hundreds that we have re-sided in the greater Warwick Rhode Island area.
Please take full advantage of this website as you evaluate your siding and window needs. You can view our gallery and even take your own customized auto tour to see the houses and view our work first hand before you buy. Check out the Frequently Asked Questions page so you will know what to ask contractors when you are collecting estimates on siding and windows… and always make sure your contractors have the proper insurance.
After using this website to initially educate yourself, feel free to contact me to discuss your needs.
Enjoy the visit.
Thanks,
Dave Monahan
Background
It all started in July of 1972
while on a return solo cross country motorcycle trip, Dave made a chance stopover in Corpus Christi, Texas. In a casual conversation over a pool table he was asked if he would be interested in working a few days helping a local contractor install aluminum siding and replacement windows.
Dave had no pressing engagements at the time and, in a lark, told him he could help, but only for two days and then he'd be heading on back home to Rhode Island. By noon of his first day on the job he knew he found his lifetime profession and ended up staying in Texas for an unplanned 17 years!
Dave learned his craft quickly in those early years and kept a keen eye out for new materials and construction methods. For example, the vinyl siding industry was coming into being, and in 1973, Dave installed the first home vinyl siding job ever completed in Corpus Christy.
In 1989 Dave made his way back home to Rhode Island. That year he placed his job sign on his first siding job in Cranston. Word soon spread of his workmanship and he has never needed to advertise since then.
To preserve quality, Dave still remains an on-the-job siding and window contractor. He does not use subcontract crews, so he is very limited to how many houses he can do a year. Many Rhode Island residents consider themselves very fortunate to have their homes done by the best in Rhode Island.
